Happy Easter,

This has been a great week. Our investigator, Janet, got baptized on Saturday. I got to do the baptism and it was the most interesting one I have ever seen. Janet has a really bad back. So bad that she can’t bend backwards, so we baptized her forwards. Elder Packer was in the water too to help her get up. So this is how it went. I said the baptismal prayer, and then Elder Packer comes in the water for back-up. Janet slowly got down on her knees, and bent forward till she was down. Then, just to make sure we wouldn’t have to do it again Elder Packer pushed down on her back. Imagine someone bowing down. That is what it looked like.
Janet is so great, she got confirmed in church today, and she had the most peaceful, satisfied look on her face when the confirmation was done, then in Gospel Essentials she was answering questions like she has known the answers forever. We are going to go back this week to teach her about temples so she can start to prepare to go. When she does Elder Packer and I will be able to go with her since we are the ones who baptized her.
We are in a big finding mode right now. We have some investigators but not a lot. We want to start next transfers off with a lot of people to work with.
Being a zone leader has been fun. I really like to so far. I was lucky to have lived in a zone leader four pack for two transfers before coming to Bothell. Once I got here I already knew what I had to do and how to do it. There are some advantages and your right mom; it gives us a Varity of things to do every day. It keeps us very busy. So much to do and not enough time in the day. Being busy has paid off though. We baptized last weekend and found some great investigators. We went tracting on Sunday for about 2 ½ or 3 hours and found 12 potential investigators, 6 new investigators and we put a guy on date for baptism. I think it was the best day of tracting I have ever had. It was Easter too so I think people were more receptive.
I know I haven’t been very good about writing but I hope you can see that I am doing well. No need to worry about me mom, thing are going better then ever!

I hope you have a great week.

Love,
Elder Austin Smith
